Upcycling Workshop with Josh Deane

As part of the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival at narrm ngarrgu Library, this hands-on experience led by award-winning artist and designer Josh Deane invites participants to transform pre-loved garments into bespoke, wearable art.

Josh will provide premium paints and inks and guide attendees through the creative process – from conceptual design to mastering techniques for applying colour to various fabrics. This workshop is more than a fashion activity; it’s a celebration of sustainability, individuality, and artistic expression.

Participants should bring their own organic clothing items, such as cotton or linen shirts, denim jackets or jeans, or leather jackets (synthetic leather welcome).
