Wackie Ju S8S: Fashion Performance + Afterparty

  • Music
  • Dance

As part of PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival Independent Programmes, Wackie Ju presents S8S: Fashion Performance + Afterparty a closing-night ritual staged entirely within the immersive world of the Wackie Ju S8S exhibition.

The night opens with a sensory fashion performance drifting through the Eden Lost and Martyr’s Concrete Jungle installations. Sound, scent, and movement intertwine as custom scent works by Jesse Wakenshaw and evolving sound by Zhī Ma activate the space, blurring the boundary between exhibition and performance.

As darkness settles, the exhibition transforms. Guests are invited to move, dance, and lose themselves within the garden and urban-apocalypse installations as the night unfolds from experimental live ambient vocals and performance art into a charged after party atmosphere –sweaty, punk-infected, intimate, and electric. The energy builds toward late-night house selections and club-driven rhythms, carrying the space into a collective release.
