Artist Colleen Burke will be showing the first stage of a theatre project. Come along to share in the research, learn about the creative process undertaken and discuss where the project is heading.
Colleen Burke has been creating a sheep/human hybrid based on a female pastoralist from the 1800s. The eventual performance will reference the industries represented on the City of Melbourne Coat of Arms.
Burke acknowledges the perseverance and bravery of the early settlers and the wool industry’s success; however, she questions the role it has played in colonisation and current views on governance.
