In collaboration with Temple of the Sun Jewellery, ancient and contemporary converge in this intimate, after-hours life drawing experience.
This special event with Rosie Turner begins with access to the Rituals: Gifts for the Gods collection, with discussion exploring the practices, offerings and beliefs that ancient Greeks had with the divine. Focus then shifts from artefact to living form as guests settle into the sublime surrounds of the Henson Gallery, where artist Rosie Turner leads a one-hour life drawing session inspired by classical aesthetics. Here participants will sketch a nude model adorned only with Temple of the Sun’s ancient-inspired jewellery, exploring the interplay between body, adornment and meaning.
Accessible to all artistic abilities, this session invites close looking, slow observation and thoughtful mark-making in a uniquely evocative setting.
