Join artist Louise Saxton in this hands-on workshop, where she will share her passion for reimagining vintage and antique needlework, made in and for the home in past eras.
In this workshop you will transform discarded, utilitarian linens from the past into an ornament that can be hung directly on the wall, stitched down at home, or later framed. The workshop will draw inspiration from various historical categories of ornamentation such as architecture, the body, clothing, home and nature.
Louise Saxton is a Melbourne-based artist whose practice has centred on reconstructing discarded materials from the home.
