Join the Gender Justice Project for the launch of the Artivism Circle workshop as part of International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
Often referred to as Harmony Day in Australia, returning to the original name acknowledges that we are far from living in a racism-free society. This workshop invites participants into an open conversation about the experiences of women and gender-diverse people of colour in Australia.
Guided by a facilitator, participants will create artworks that express messages of justice, diversity and hope for a more equitable future. The session will include painting and creative expression, with the option to share works-in-progress on the Gender Justice Project social media.
Tickets include all materials and light refreshments.
