Restaurant 226 (II.II.VI)

  • Restaurant

Hidden beneath the historic Invicta House at 226 Flinders Lane, Restaurant 226 (II.II.VI) is a contemporary Australian steakhouse where fire, craftsmanship and atmosphere come together.

Enter through an iconic archway, where a custom-made bull sculpture sets the scene for a distinctive underground dining experience.

At the heart of the kitchen are a bespoke wood-fired grill and oven, specially crafted in Spain and flown to Melbourne. The kitchen celebrates the art of cooking over fire, showcasing premium Australian beef, seasonal seafood and exceptional local produce.

Beyond the flames, discover a sophisticated cocktail bar, intimate booths, Chef's Table dining and private dining spaces designed for memorable occasions.

From romantic date nights and pre-theatre dinners to business gatherings and special celebrations, Restaurant 226 invites guests to discover one of Melbourne's hidden dining destinations.
