Harriot

  • Restaurant
  • Fine dining

Harriot is a contemporary French bistro from Conferre Group (Tipo 00, Osteria Ilaria), bringing new-wave Parisian energy to downtown Melbourne.

The 60-seat venue is led by head chef James Kelly and sommelier Justin Howe, with a produce-driven menu grounded in classical technique. Familiar bistro staples sit alongside more modern signatures, from tuna tartelettes and lamb sweetbreads to roast pigeon cooked in the custom wood-fired oven, with seasonal produce guiding the offering. Desserts include an already cult-favourite choux in rotating flavours.

Howe’s 550-bottle wine list spans innovative Australian makers and benchmark European producers, complemented by a concise cocktail offering and a post-dinner trolley of spirits.

Designed by Studio Esteta, the space channels European wine bars and neo-bistros, with warm timber, stone finishes, terracotta banquettes and a marble bar, plus a private dining room.
