Philippe
Philippe Mouchel's eponymous bistro showcases innovative spins on traditional fine French cuisine with white linen and silver service.
Mouchel is one of Australia's masters of French cuisine. He trained under Paul Bocuse - the only chef in France to have been awarded three Michelin stars for more than 40 consecutive years - and he has also worked in high profile restaurants in Japan and Hong Kong.
The menu includes French favourites, but with a nod to Mouchel's varied past. If you want to get the most out of this place, however, stick with the French classics. You'll be hard pressed to find anything quite like it elsewhere.
No French fine dining establishment would be complete without a comprehensive wine list consisting entirely of Australian and French wines to suit all palates and budgets.
