Spotlight on South Korean Horror

  • Film
  • Entertainment

Shaped by war, repression and stark inequality, South Korean horror has spent decades giving a nation’s anxieties a ghostly form. This film season showcases the genre’s eclectic take on familiar tropes, including the Australian premiere of the new 4K restoration of Bong Joon Ho’s The Host; The Wailing from Na Hong Jin, director of Hope; and Seoul Station, the animated prequel to zombie blockbuster Train to Busan.

Join us at ACMI cinemas to see why these ghosts keep coming back.
