Royal Melbourne Philharmonic: Carols in the Cathedral

Royal Melbourne Philharmonic presents its ever-popular Carols in the Cathedral concerts – Melbourne’s premier concerts of traditional Christmas music, carols and readings, in the stunning setting of St Paul’s Cathedral.

A feast of spectacular fanfares and carols, and glorious Christmas music and verse, performed by massed choirs, majestic brass, organ and orchestra. Hear a magnificent selection of music by composers including Elaine Hagenberg, William James, Dan Forrest, David Willcocks, Molly Ijames and more.

Featuring the angelic voices of The National Boys Choir of Australia, the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, Melbourne University Choral Society, Box Hill Chorale, City of Melb Highland Pipes and special guest soloists the outstanding soprano Rachael Joyce, and Australian/Maori tenor Boyd Owen, all under the baton of conductor Andrew Wailes.
