Christougenna: A Bouzouki Christmas

  • Family and kids
  • Music

The Hellenic Bouzouki Orchestra returns to The Greek Centre, and this time they're bringing Christmas with them.

Founded in May 2026 by Richmond bouzouki teacher Pantelis Krestas, the orchestra brings together a new generation of young Melbourne musicians, trained to be true musicians who carry Greek culture into the future. Following their debut with Bouzouki Symphony in September, they're back with a festive evening of traditional Greek Christmas carols (kalanta), freshly arranged for bouzouki orchestra and vocals.

The kalanta you grew up singing, like you've never heard them before. Bring the whole family, cheer on Melbourne's young musicians and start the festive season the Greek way.

Presented by the Greek Community of Melbourne.
