Nongkrong invites Melbournians to fall in love with Indonesian food, music, dance and community.
Twilight marks the time when people come together to unwind, eat, enjoy music and reconnect with community. This free, family-friendly event transforms the Square into a pasar senja (twilight fair), inviting you to nongkrong (hang out) as the sun sets over Melbourne’s skyline.
Enjoy a vibrant, eclectic line-up of live music and dance performances. Headliners include Ali (Jakarta), Komang, Matahara, Stale Biskitz and Suara Dance (Sydney) with more to be announced.
There will be food stalls and gerobaks (food carts) serving Indonesian and Australian-Indonesian deliciousness from Warkop and Diana’s Kitchen, an Indonesian maker’s market with handmade goods and exclusive merch, plus hands-on workshops celebrating traditional Indonesian arts and crafts.
Bring your loved ones to come nongkrong and share the sights, sounds and flavours of Indonesian culture and community. Everyone is welcome.
