Celebrate the Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, with a free film screening of Ne Zha: The Demon Boy Descends to Earth, proudly presented with sincere thanks to the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne.

The spiritual energies of heaven and earth has given birth to a powerful Chaos Pearl. The Supreme Lord extracts the Spirit Pearl and the Demon Orb from the Chaos Pearl. Ne Zha, who is destined to be a hero, reincarnated with the Spirit Pearl, however, becomes a demon when the Spirit Pearl is secretly replaced by the Demon Orb. Mischievous yet yearning to do good, Ne Zha must face misunderstanding, prejudice, and an impending thunderbolt. Will he surrender to destiny, or defy it?

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
