Shot over two years, the story follows seven residents as they experience the destruction of their homes and community. The film documents the history of the buildings, the people who lived in them, and the building of a campaign to save their homes from gentrification. It shows how a life-altering event can transform ordinary people and galvanise them to act to make change.
