Land of the Lost: Holiday Program

A full-day creative writing program centred on portal fantasy, magical worlds, adventure storytelling and writing with the senses.

Chimes tinkle in the warm breeze of a bustling street. But no one else seems to hear them. The brightly coloured shop fronts vibrate, the muggy air turns cold. A shift, a blink, and the street is no longer of this world. You’re now in the Land of the Lost.

Magical folk in velvet cloaks and elaborate hats chat by the shopfronts. Market vendors sell trinkets and wares that are strange, unfamiliar and… dangerous. Buy one, and in the blink of an eye you could wind up in landscapes of rolling grassy hills and medieval castles, shifting sands and rickety aeroplanes, woodland festivals strung with lights, or pirate ships on stormy seas.

This is a place where long-lost objects are found, people go missing and magic is everywhere.

For ages 8-12 years.
