Japanese Film Festival

The Japanese Film Festival, presented by The Japan Foundation, is back for its 29th year with new releases, anime favourites, thrillers, and timeless classics.

Opening the festival is Kokuho, Japan’s official submission for the 2026 Academy Awards, starring Ryo Yoshizawa, Ryusei Yokohama, and Ken Watanabe.

Don’t miss out on the free screenings for the JFF Special Series at ACMI showcasing masterpieces from the 1930s, a defining decade of Japanese cinema.
