Driveway: 2026 Alphabet

  • Free
  • Art

2026 Alphabet encapsulates, well, 2026.

In 2026, gooning, rent increases and Ozempic sit beside kewpie, Lisa Barlow and #FreeWendyWilliams. Each letter becomes a vignette mapping a culture suspended between collapse and camp. Here, eggs are unaffordable, quantity substitutes quality, and the (Un)united Nations preside over chaos; Santa slips into Satan with a typo, and even an em dash betrays our dependence on ChatGPT.

The entire Alphabet revealed by Thang Do during his performance captures today’s mindset shaped by dating apps, culture wars, economic precarity and the narcotic glow of pop spectacle.

Paying tribute to Amanda Lear’s 'Alphabet', the piece offers a delirious update for a time when language is branding, survival tactic and punchline all at once.
