Cursed: Holiday Program

  • Family and kids
  • Workshop

A full-day creative writing program focused on curses, conflict and storytelling in dark fantasy and magical realism.

From ancient mythology to modern fiction, curses and prophecies have shaped heroes and villains alike, tipping the scales of fate and challenging the choices characters make.

In this day of curses, jinxes, hexes and magical forewarnings, young writers will explore how these forces influence characters and the worlds they inhabit. As they conjure curses and curate conflict, entire realms of dark fantasy and magical realism will unfold — and they'll experiment with how much power characters truly have over their destinies.

Can your characters break the curse? Or did they cast it themselves — and what will they choose to do next?

For ages 10-14 years.
