Walking the Camino de Santiago Talk

  • Free
  • Talk

This is a practical, engaging introduction to the Camino de Santiago. How to prepare, what to expect and why this iconic walk often becomes a meaningful journey. More than a long-distance walk across Spain this is a journey through history, culture, and something deeper.

David Box draws on his own experience to inform you just what it really takes to prepare for and complete the walk - whether the whole 800km+, or the last 100km (the 'Compostela').

You’ll hear about the different Camino routes, what a typical day on the trail is like, physical preparation, gear, planning essentials and common challenges.

The talk also explores why more than 500,000 people each year, from all over the world, are drawn to the Camino and why many describe it as a turning point in their lives.

Whether you’re considering walking it, or simply curious, this talk will give you a clear and inspiring introduction to one of the world’s great journeys.
