The Rialto Run-Up

  • Family and kids
  • Fitness

Inspired by the iconic Empire State Building Run-Up, the Rialto Run-Up was the first stair climbing event in Australia, originally taking place in the late 1980s, which quickly became an annual event. This year, participants will ascend the towering 54 floors of the Rialto Building in a challenge of stamina, endurance and community spirit, finishing on the 55th floor. Each step will help provide life-changing education and support for autistic individuals and their families.

Giant Steps is a Melbourne-based charity delivering a range of services including a specialist school, adult day program and mental health clinic. With a proven track record of helping autistic children and adults improve their communication, engage in meaningful work experience opportunities, gain functional life skills, and achieve milestones previously thought unattainable, every dollar raised will make a giant impact.

Registrations are now open. See website for details.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
