The Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids is a much loved, family-friendly event. With two picturesque and unique course routes, the event is enormous fun for avid runners and casual walkers alike.
The long course is 14.4km, and the short course is 4.7km, both starting and finishing in Melbourne's Docklands Precinct, easily accessible by public transport from Southern Cross Station.
The primary goal of Run for the Kids is to raise funds for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal, with more than $22.6 million raised since the event began in 2006.
