Carlton Football Club historian and long-time sportswriter for major metropolitan newspaper, The Sun (and beyond the merger, Herald Sun), Tony De Bolfo will talk about the infamous 1945 Grand Final, known as The Bloodbath.
For the past 15 years, Tony has been employed by the Carlton Football Club as both journalist and historian. A lifelong Carlton supporter, Tony has also penned biographies of former Carlton champions.
In this talk, he will discuss the infamous Bloodbath Grand Final of 1945, the legend of the then-Carlton Captain, Bob Chitty, and Chitty's starring role as Ned Kelly in Rupert Kathner's 1951 film, The Glenrowan Affair.
