Taste of Persian Music

  • Dance

Taste of Persian Music & Dance, a ticketed program at The Edge Amphitheater, Federation Square, will showcase a diverse selection of live performances by Persian musicians and artists, with all proceeds supporting the Yarra Foundation’s charitable work.

Line-up:
Misagh Zamani: Two masterpieces of Persian piano music
ZÖJ: An acclaimed experimental cross-cultural music duo based in regional Australia, bringing together Persian musician Gelareh Pour (voice, kamancheh, qeychak alto) and Australian percussionist Brian O’Dwyer.
ADENA Dance Group: Live dance performance
MehrYar Ensemble: Traditional Persian music

As a charitable initiative, Taste of Persia also reflects the Yarra Foundation’s broader commitment to supporting the education of disadvantaged children. The event is made possible by the generous contributions of artists, volunteers, sponsors, community members, and partners who share a belief in the power of culture to bring people together.
