Lingua Madre by M.Collective and Alchemy Consort

  • Music
  • Dance

Lingua Madre is a powerful interdisciplinary performance that explores the deep connections between language, identity and belonging. Presented by M.Collective, Alchemy Consort and acclaimed mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean, the work weaves together music, dance, storytelling and spoken word to celebrate the richness of multilingual communities.

Drawing on personal stories and cultural traditions from around the world, Lingua Madre reflects on migration, memory and the enduring power of mother tongues to connect generations. Through an evocative blend of voices and live music, the performance creates a moving tribute to the languages that shape our lives and the diverse cultures that enrich Victoria.
