Located at the corner of Spencer and Collins streets, Southern Cross Station is a major train and bus transport hub, serving over 1.2 million people every week. Redeveloped from the former Spencer Street Station in 2006, it has won many awards for its distinctive wavy roof.
Trains run from Southern Cross Station to Melbourne’s suburbs, country Victoria and interstate, and the Skybus airport transfers run to Melbourne and Avalon airports.
As well as being a transport hub and gateway to Melbourne, the station has a number of retailers on site, including a supermarket, a pharmacy, a number of food outlets, a bookshop, and various traveller services such as car hire and currency exchange.
