Balloon Story

  • Family and kids
  • Art

Balloon Story is a breathtaking, immersive installation where every world, creature and moment is crafted entirely from balloons.

Visitors step into different worlds – the jungle, underwater realms, space exploration, a winter wonderland, Ancient Egypt, modern Paris, and beyond. Frolic in the most amazing ball-pit, battle in the balloon cage, or capture special moments in the super-fun selfie scenes.

Each room is a cinematic scene built at scale using hundreds of thousands of TMTD-free balloons made of natural latex from the rubber tree, transforming familiar stories and landscapes into awe-inspiring, photogenic and deeply imaginative experiences.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
