Readings has been Melbourne’s preeminent independent bookstore and retailer of music and films for over four decades.

Designed by the talented team at Kerstin Thompson Architects, the Emporium shop is a beautiful light-filled space over looking Little Bourke St, complete with beautiful heritage windows and plenty of seating to contemplate and read. You’ll find the shop on level one near the footbridge to Myer.

Readings offers customers an outstanding range of products, from cutting-edge music and DVDs to classic texts. Always passionate about Australian literature, Readings often hosts regular in-store book launches throughout the year that are free and open to the public.
