The Wheeler Centre’s Hot Desk Fellowships are wrapping up for the year and in this instalment of The Next Big Thing series, they’re showcasing writers from the third intake of fellows.

For this year's final edition writers awarded a 2025 Hot Desk Fellowship take the stage to share excerpts from their works-in-progress.

Grab a drink and settle in as host Pranati Narayan Visweswaran introduces Violet Kieu, Josephine Mead, Madeline Nunn, Ruby-Rose Pivet-Marsh and Yasmin to the Moat for an evening of captivating readings – from poetry to horror to experimental non-fiction – along with insights into their creative practice.
