The Harmonix Experience with Nestor Torres

The Harmonix Experience are a genre-bending outfit that blends jazz, acid jazz, funk, and a splash of rock into a sound that’s as unpredictable as it is irresistible.

Led by Albare on guitar, with Jake Mason on Hammond, Phil Rex on bass, Andrew Swann on drums, Paul Williamson on alto sax, and Salva Persico on percussion, the band kicks off each set with a simple sketch — then lets instinct and groove take over.

Equally fluent in jazz, classical and Latin music, Nestor Torres’ rhythmic and melodious flute sound sets him apart in a class all by itself. His career spans over 35 years and includes 18 CDs, four Latin Grammy nominations, a Latin Grammy Award and a Grammy nomination, as well as collaborations with the likes of Tito Puente, Herbie Hancock, Dave Mathews, Gloria Estefan, and performances with, among others, The New World, Cleveland and Singapore Symphonies.

The lineup includes Francisco Alcala (drums), Gabriel Rodriguez (bass) and Eduardo Zayas (piano).
