Royal Exhibition Building Open Day
One hundred and twenty-five years ago, on 9 May 1901, the Royal Exhibition Building hosted the opening of Australia’s Federal Parliament. On 9 and 10 May this year, all Australians can mark this significant milestone at the Royal Exhibition Building Open Day - two days of free public events, open to everyone.
Across the weekend, the building opens its doors and archives for a dynamic program of family-friendly activities, cultural performances, tours, exhibitions, global food offerings and more as we reflect on the building’s rich history, legacy and future.
Save the date and explore the full program to learn more about the Royal Exhibition Building’s most remarkable moments in history and view all of the free activities, performances, talks and tours happening across the weekend.
