Have you ever wondered what it’s like to wake up from a coma?
At the Norla Dome, this free immersive exhibition takes audiences on a surreal journey through coma recovery, memory, identity and rebirth. Drawing on artist Vee Rodrigues’ experience of emerging from a coma, this sensory world combines 360° projections, layered soundscapes and tripped-out alien eggs.
Blending film, sculpture and immersive art, it explores identity after life changing experiences through surreal imagery, queer humour and Mexican cultural heritage, telling a deeply personal story of awakening to find yourself a stranger in your own skin.
Opening night is 21 November, with an Auslan interpreter from 5pm–7pm.
Supported by the City of Melbourne Arts Grants.
