The title refers to the cloud as an ephemeral, ever-changing entity, elusive and difficult to define. Artist Piotr Sobiesiak explores the shaping of matter, focusing on forms suspended between stability and transformation.
Abstract, organic sculptures evoke biomorphic shapes while remaining open to the viewer’s interpretation. The materials used in this series, such as marble, wood, steel, or silicone, engage with sculptural tradition and art history, activating cultural associations. Here, the cloud becomes an idea embodying metamorphosis, briefly taking form between being and dissolution.
Works from this series have been exhibited across Europe and Australia and are held in collections worldwide. In 2022, the National Museum in Warsaw acquired Nubita, and in 2024, Nubita III entered the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (MSN).
