Nestor Torres
Equally fluent in jazz, classical and Latin music, Nestor Torres’ rhythmic and melodious flute sound sets him apart in a class all by itself. His career spans over 35 years and includes 18 CDs, four Latin Grammy nominations, one Latin Grammy Award and a Grammy nomination, as well as collaborations with the likes of Tito Puente, Herbie Hancock, Dave Mathews, Gloria Estefan, and performances with, among others, The New World, Cleveland and Singapore Symphonies.
His trademark fusion of Latin pop and jazz influences are an expression of his life and musical experiences through a seamless blend of traditional jazz, Western European, and Caribbean and Latin American influences. Rich and engaging, complex and exuberant, Nestor Torres' musical journey travels through time, styles and places, taking you to the richest, most exciting and mysterious place you will ever be.
His band includes Francisco Alcala (drums), Gabriel Rodriguez (bass) and Eduardo Zayas (piano).
