Audiences will be treated to a refined program showcasing the richness of the cello–piano repertoire. Mischa Maisky is uniquely distinguished as the only cellist in the world to have studied with both Mstislav Rostropovich and Gregor Piatigorsky.

Born in Latvia, educated in Russia, Maisky has earned international acclaim in major music capitals including London, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, New York and Tokyo. A world-class musician and a guest at leading international festivals, he has collaborated with many of the world’s foremost conductors, among them Leonard Bernstein, Carlo Maria Giulini, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Giuseppe Sinopoli.
