Melbourne Through The Coffee Cup: Launch & Screening
Celebrate Melbourne’s coffee culture through photography, history and film.
Begin with a coffee at Coffee Machine Technologies while viewing Melbourne Through the Coffee Cup, a free exhibition with photographs by Peter Casamento and words by Sandra Makris, part of the Head On Photo Festival.
It's all about the coffee, cafe culture and characters. Portraits and documentary images pay tribute to Carlton’s early coffee trailblazers while also portraying contemporary café and street scenes, reflecting how Melbourne built its reputation as the coffee capital of the world.
Then head to nearby Cinema Nova for an exclusive one-off return screening at 2.30pm sharp of the 2013 documentary 'Lygon Street: Si Parla Italiano', narrated by Anthony La Paglia. Door prizes and a Q&A complete the day.
Limited tickets. Seating is general admission. Movie ticket includes a complimentary coffee at Coffee Machine Technologies redeemable between 9am and 2pm on the day.
