Melbourne Taiwan Film Festival

  • Free
  • Festival

Melbourne Taiwan Film Festival returns to Melbourne. This years festival centres around the powerful theme of 'Transition'.

Transition is perhaps most visible in Taiwan’s historical and political journey from authoritarianism to democracy. Yet, for those living through it, change often feels quiet and subtle – triggered by a short conversation, a photograph, or a fleeting moment with family.

Featuring four remarkable and deeply moving personal stories, these films bring Taiwan’s past and present into a shared conversation.
- Family Matters
- Deep Quiet Room
- The Photo from 1977
- A Foggy Tale

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
