As language moves and changes, what does it build and what does it break?
For two weeks, SIGNAL has been transformed into an exhibition space featuring works from young artists ages 16 to 25 exploring themes of language, identity and change.
Language is never fixed. It shifts with who's speaking, who's listening, and what world they're living in. It's shaped by culture, generation, technology and community and in turn, it shapes how we connect, who we let in, and who gets left out. The works in Language in Flux explore language not as a fixed set of rules, but as something constantly evolving, breaking down and rebuilding itself as it moves through people, communities and time.
The works for this exhibition were curated by Platform Presents and a team of SIGNAL curators aged 18 to 25 years.
Content note: some of the works featured in this exhibition may not be suitable to all ages. They will be identified as such within the space.
