James Dowling Exhibition: The Voight-Kampff Test

  • Free
  • Art

In his third solo exhibition, Australian artist James Dowling presents twelve new abstract canvases quirkily inspired by Philip K. Dick's writings, subtly designed to generate a wealth of emotions in the viewer.

Not just visually striking, Dowling's work presents complex layers of energetic form to produce powerful pieces filled with emotion. From angular arrangements of lines, smears, drizzles, and splatters to more serenely flowing, deliberate curves, even the choice of colour palette is purposeful and intentional in its design.

These colourful works use a combination of mixed media and acrylic. Take the time to peruse Dowling's works over a glass of fine wine and ask yourself, 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?'
