Goodbye Aunty Flo
Aunty Flo is back and ready to talk about all things women's business. The crimson wave, girl flu, lady curse; keeper of divine feminine power, or however you know her. You’d think we would be proud of this most significant Tidda, but she’s often hidden away and spoken about in whispers. Especially later on when she stops turning up altogether.
This heartfelt and hilarious play was created to explore the ups and downs of the most natural stage of anyone who bleeds life: menopause. Based on the firsthand experiences of First Nations women. Gather up your nan, your mum and your sistagirls and join us for a yarn. Aunty Flo’s story has something all period havers (and friends, family and partners thereof) can relate to.
This story was developed by Nazaree Dickerson for ILBIJERRI Theatre Company.
