Friday Night Social: General Feelings Sound System

  • Free
  • Music

Bass is a beckoning force. It draws us in – pulling our bodies towards the music. Perceptible through to your very core, the vibrations are felt rather than heard, compelling us to move.

General Feelings Sound System, best known for their epic DIY dub sound system and forward-thinking line-ups, transform the gallery into a collective beat with a night of curated live performances. Expect the gallery to resonate with vibrational experiences.

Live musical performances by JUPiTA and Melquiades accompanied by Sam Trolland’s projections, with more to be announced.

Science Gallery Melbourne’s Friday Night Socials are free parties where you can explore the latest exhibition against a backdrop of immersive performance acts and live DJ sets. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

The current Distraction exhibition focuses on interactive games, play and creative technologies, and explores the ways we might harness the cacophony of digital content and find meaning within it.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
