Early Georgian Monarchs with Dr Eugene Barilo Von Reisberg

While the lives of Queen Anne and George III have been the subject of scholarly research, the two interim rulers, George I and George II, are seldom mentioned.

The lecture offers an insight into the two monarchs, as well as Frederick, Prince of Wales (the father of George III), who, by the accident of birth, had to seek an uneasy balance between their fealty to the crown of the United Kingdom and their native and strategically important Dukedom of Hanover.
