Creature Comfort

  • Free
  • Art

Creature Comfort is a sensory landscape of unruly creatures and hedonic bliss – a world in which opposites are united, rationality is abandoned and sensuality is primary. The project continues the artists’ ongoing practice-led research into androgyny, post-humanism and eroticism.

Through the use of tactile materials, the artist centralises touch as the primary mode of understanding her work as an attempt to circumvent the intellect and encourage bodily and emotional engagement with the art first. Her sculptures are made of ambiguous but suggestive forms which blur the categorical boundaries between gender binaries and interspecial traits leading the viewer to new perspectives about the body.

This exhibition is supported by the City of Melbourne Arts Grant 2026 and is showing on unceded lands on the Wurundjeri people.
