Opening its first Melbourne store in 1973, the label took its name from the Indigo denim flares of the day and sourced exotic clothing from Afghanistan, India and Nepal to bring diversity to the local fashion market.

Today Indigo continues to create feminine womenswear, using natural fibres and playing with lively prints and colours.
