Ponyfish Island
Ponyfish Island is a floating bar on the Yarra River anchored under the Southbank Evan Walker pedestrian bridge. Head down the stairs to find fresh Asian-inspired cuisine, crafty cocktails and local wine and beer.
Ponyfish Island features terrazzo-topped tables, comfy lounge areas and custom sunshades, with a colour palette that brightens up the once semi-rustic space.
The island takes its name from the elusive Ponyfish, a mysterious creature seen swimming in the Yarra River. There is much debate as to whether the Ponyfish actually exists or if the creature is simply a fabrication created by those who want to believe.
