Oriental Teahouse

  • Restaurant
  • Takeaway

David Zhou's Oriental Teahouse is the place to pair delicious bite-sized yum cha dumplings and buns with speciality teas, from gunpowder to oolong.

The menu leans into handcrafted yum cha favourites like chilli Wagyu beef, XO scallop and prawn, and delicate steamed classics – alongside crispy small bites and generous shared dishes. Think sweet shredded steak, Szechuan pepper chicken, and a thoughtful range of vegetarian options.

Tea remains central, with oolong, pu-erh, green and herbal blends, alongside iced teas, wine and cocktails.

Set in the heart of the CBD, it’s a place that works just as well for a quick midweek bite as it does for a longer, more leisurely meal, uncomplicated, flavour-led, and made to be shared.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
