Mr Tompkins

  • Restaurant

Beneath Melbourne's vibrant Flinders Street and in the basement of the Rendezvous Hotel, Mr. Tompkins emerges as an homage to architect Harry Tompkins. Chef Eric Kwek masterfully fuses classic European dishes with invigorating Australian twists, echoing the building's opulent Edwardian Baroque-style and Australiana architecture.

Kwek, renowned for roles at Coda and Turbine, redefines tradition with flair. Merging classical French training and Australian bush ingredients, he crafts a menu that marries these flavours with European cuisine. This harmony extends to the intricate gum leaf designs gracing the Grand Vestibule.

Rooted in history, innovation, and Australian essence, the restaurant beckons patrons on a gastronomic odyssey.
