Maverick, from the team behind Richmond’s Mayday Coffee and Food, is a slick weekday brunch spot located at the top end of Little Collins Street.
Offering dine-in and takeaway, Maverick is open for breakfast and lunch. The cafe's modern Australian menu, created by head chef Eugene Yap (formerly of the Kettle Black), showcases a number of signature dishes.
Try the eggs benedict with house-made pastrami and pickles, the toast served with seasonal mushrooms, smoked curd, hazelnut, vincotto and sage, or the waffle with house-made strawberry preserve, double cream and maple butter.
Delicious cakes and pastries are supplied daily by Richmond bakers Penny for Pound, with locally-roasted coffee by Axil Coffee Roasters.
Maverick is also licensed. The drinks menu features cocktails plus a selection of local wines and craft beers.
