Jom Corner

Nestled in the middle of Chinatown in the Kmart Centre, Jom Corner is a humble 'Kopitiam' concept cafe that serves authentic Malaysian food. It is one of the only spots in Melbourne with 'air bungkus' (takeaway bagged drinks) with your choice of teh tarik, Kopi O, Malaysian Milo, and more.

Come for their signature dishes, Jom's Chicken Rice (their version of the Hainanese-style chicken rice with addictive chilli sauce) and the Chee Cheong Fun (a rice noodle roll dish with seafood toppings).

For those in a hurry, grab-and-go street snacks will satisfy your cravings too. Try their flaky curry puffs, tasty ayam goreng (deep-fried chicken), and kaya toast made with homemade kaya jam.

The friendly team behind Jom Corner strive to emulate an authentic Kuala Lumpur coffee shop experience.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
