  • A person walking into an open doorway of a cafe in an Edwardian-style sandstone building.
  • Three enormous sandwiches with different fillings displayed on white plates set on a wooden table in front of brown curtain.
  • A champagne and negroni cocktail on a bartop, seen from inside a cafe looking out through the window to the buildings beyond, with a lit up sign that says 'Elio's'.
  • A waitress wearing black, straightening a plate on a dining table with wine glasses and plates for 16 place settings in a low-lit private dining room.

Elio's Place

  • Restaurant

Elio’s Place, located in the iconic Flinders House on Flinders Lane, is Melbourne's all-day European bistro and bar offering a quintessential city dining experience.

Here the vibe is casual, the staff are welcoming, and the menu celebrates Italian, French and Spanish culinary influences. With delicious bistro classics served across breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu also boasts mouth-watering made-to-order sandwiches and housemade snacks.

From curated cocktails to cracking wines and quality espresso, Elio's Place is laid-back enough for a first date, sophisticated enough for a special occasion (private dining anyone?) and perfect for pre-/post-show drinks.

This all-day European bistro retreat is only a three-minute walk from Flinders Street Station with bookings available online and walk-ins always welcome.
