YUMI: The Whole World

  • Film
  • Talk

RMIT University’s Pacific Initiative, in partnership with the Pacific Human Rights Film Festival, invites you to an evening exploring climate justice.

This event features a special screening of YUMI – The Whole World, a powerful documentary following three law students – Solomon, Vishal and Romabeth – from the University of the South Pacific. Their journey seeks to bring climate change before the International Court of Justice through the UN, in a bid to protect Pacific island nations from extinction.

A panel discussion will follow, bringing together leading climate researchers, campaigners, policymakers and Pacific leaders, including Professor Tim Flannery, RMIT Pacific Initiative Professor of Practice and Chief Councillor of the Australian Climate Council, and Professor Charles Hunt, Director of the RMIT Pacific Initiative.

Presented by RMIT University’s Pacific Initiative and the Pacific Human Rights Film Festival, with support from Environmental Films Australia.
